I know this is a stretch, but do you remember if there was more families planned for Veronaville? Someone was able to find information of a Sim named Viola in the code for a lot, we assumed her a Monty.

I don't remember, but I was watching a lot of "Shakespeare in Love" around that time, so it wouldn't surprise me!

MY SHAKESPEAREAN LOVE AFFAIR | Shakespeare x Y/N

a/n: this is one of the four fanfictions written by yours truly and @oflethe during my community day stream (on June 5th, 2023, using the game frantic fanfic)

summary: shakespeare meet cute???

warnings: no editing in sight, sexual innuendos, and a really messed up plot

I woke up to my stupid alarm, in my stupid bed. I got out and stared at my lifeless blue eyes in the mirror. Hi, I'm Y/N. Just another girl in this G-dforsaken World. I put my long brown hair in a messy bun and changed into my Paramore tshirt and skinny black jeans. As I put on my non-broken in Dr Martens, my mum walked in.

"Y/N," she started, looking exhausted "you have a visitor."

B-but, who would want to see a mess like me?? As I walked down our villa's stairs I saw him -------------------- , standing there, a wolfish grin on his face.

"S-shakespeare?" I whispered, too taken aback by his molded back hair.

"Yes," he grunted sexually. "It's me. Your new family."

"That's right, Y/N." My mom yelled. "You're useless and not a part of my family anymore. Shakespeare is adopting you."

I was so scared I peed a little.

"Adopted? Me?"

"Let's go baby. You're like a midsummer's night dream or whatever."

Shakespeare took me to the carriage and threw all my bags in the back. I sat in the front seat, trying to ignore the fact that the horse in front of us was shitting like crazy.

"I hope I never see you again." My mom said and slammed the door behind herself.

"Time to go, Y/N. Your new life awaits." Shakespeare put a quill in the carriage's ignition, and we were off. To my new life. My new home. -------------------- To a new century.

He rode the carriage into a new old age, and I found myself standing in front of THE Globe Theatre.

"So," he startled me, "I suspect you'll be right at home playing with the boys."

Yeah, I prefered boys' company over other girls, since I'm not like them and all, but what did he mean??

I would find out soon that he meant to make me into his image. A girl that pretends to be a boy playing a girl on stage. I soon became the biggest actor his stage had ever seen, and soon, I became his biggest muse. His Cleopatra. His youmg Juliet to his old-ass Romeo. Anne Hathaway was no more, in the end it was me and him- my William, my Shakespeare.

Day 11 of Inktober, a scene from Romeo and Juliet.

A Little Illustration based on one of Shakespeare's greatest plays of all time between Two Star-Crossed Lovers (most likely one of my favorite plays from Shakespeare).

In the Third Scene of Act 5, When Romeo finds his Beloved Juliet died on her grave, he is immediately heartbroken to find her dead. Vowing himself in front of his love when he gave her the kiss (causing Juliet to wake up). Romeo then drinks the poisonous potion causing him to die to be with his lover, but when Juliet wakes up and sees of what she has done. Heartbroken, she commits suicide by killing herself through a knife to be with her beloved Romeo.

This caused the Whole War between the Montagues and the Capulets to end as the Prince was already tired of their hatred as peace was finally accepted in Verona.

i love how in the banquet scene lady macbeth is like “my husband is going insane? ok but not in front of the guests?” like he really starts hallucinating the ghost of the guy he just murdered and she’s like “babe stop you’re making the guests nervous”

it’s so nice coming back here after a couple of years and seeing my shakespeare mutuals still into shakespeare like yay that gives me hope that it’s possible for chronically online ppl with dismantled attention spans to like it beyond it being a fleeting hyperfixation????? can u imagine. and maybe when work calms down i can sink my teeth into a good play again cos i miss that feeling so much, of becoming absorbed, swept up and gradually feel your brain acquiesce to early modern english again. and to feel seen by words that were so old and so beloved. 

these days i’m so burnt out from work that shakepeare has felt too daunting and arduous to engage with in my downtime though. so idk what this blog is gonna turn into but i always felt being here gave my passion for literature a very fun and colorful dimension! weirdly enough when i was most active on here it was also when i was reading the most i had in a while. so it will still mainly be literary things i reblog most likely. cos back in the day i remember it was like...the more pages i read, the more silly little text posts about the work i’d understand. silly that it wasn’t more of an intrinsic motivation to read more but i don’t care as long as it got me to read
